Stepping back into what remains of the American Wild West

Montana is a place easily romanticized for its dramatic, rugged mountains, plains, and overall untouched nature. It's the only place I know of where you can still feel the essence of the Wild West, and the harshness nature possesses in there demands the respect of those who visit.

These photos were taken during a late, mild summer in Virginia City, Montana and the nearby ghost town of Nevada City.
